THE combined talents of Adelaide designers Jason Runholm and Chloe Papazahariakis are on display at Shop 5 in Ebenezer Pl.

Jason's new menswear collection Runholm, which he describes as a little "left of centre", features canvas, cotton and denim with a worn look. On the shelf it contrasts well against the vibrant, embellished look of Chloe's Lotus and Kameleon labels.

Kameleon focuses on denim with a "glam" edge, while Lotus features many one-off pieces including lots of dresses - from mini to long.

Shop 5 also has imported jewellery.

Shirley Luxton of Hero Designs also is setting up business in Ebenezer Pl.

Previously on King William Rd, Hero's vintage gear will be available from the new store from this Saturday (August 14).

Shirley says vintage remains a strong look in fashion and she will be focusing on the '40s and '50s eras, with a few pieces from the '60s.

Her advice is to avoid head-to-toe vintage; invest in one or two special pieces.

Fashion store Sooki (11 Ebenezer Pl) is gearing up for a busy spring with some great looks and new labels. Expect to see plenty of '50s-inspired fashions and summery shades of lilac and pink.

Zahra Evans-Moffa, co-owner and buyer has added Blessed are the Meek to the range, taken with the label's eclectic style.

She's predicting a big season for One Teaspoon, which has served up an edgy, yet feminine collection, including a strapless dress in a black and white rose print.

Denim remains a strong look and among the best is Nobody's long legged jean and a new Japanese denim in a skinny leg.

Max Mara is launching its spring/summer collection later this week at invitation-only parades. Heralding pink - in soft and bold tones - as the colour of the season, Max Mara has produced a delicious hot pink trench coat.
