THE KILLERS: Hot Fuss ***1/2 (Island/Universal). A derivative burst on glam, garage rock and '80s keyboard-driven pop this Las Vegas quartet. What makes t work is the songs, which are all memorable and performed with the abandon of a young band unashamedly having a blast on its debut. Singles Mr Brightside and Somebody Told Me are among the standouts.
