INTERPOL: Antics **** (Matador/Remote Control). More of the dark stuff from the NYC quartet. Owes plenty to fellow New Yorkers Television and there's a nod to Joy Division, but in all the right ways. It's an edgy, metallic, icy collection powered by the band's tight-knit two-guitar sound. Evil, Slow Hands and C'Mere are standouts but it's all convincing and compelling.
