Cake obviously belives that if you're onto a good thing, why mess with the formula. And who can blame them? Pressure Chief has everything you'd want from the Sacramento quintet - deadpan, dry vocals, infectious grooves (complete with trumpet solos and funky keyboards) and lyrics often delivered with tongue firmly in cheek. A smooth listen from go to whoa. Standouts are Wheels and The Guitar Man.
